90 years of Dr. Hartmann Chemietechnik - Germany's oldest family-owned company in the field of process water treatment celebrates its anniversary.

It all began in Stuttgart
A lot has happened in the last 90 years:
In 1932, Dr. Hartmann Chemietechnik was founded in Stuttgart. In the beginning, the company produced mainly specialty products such as scale removers and specialty cleaners for automotive manufacturers and the dairy industry on a small footprint. Over the years, new chemical products were developed that were important for many applications and industries.
In 1989, the married couple Werner and Eleonore Wolf took over the company, paving the way for a success story. Due to the clear focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, the product range was constantly expanded and adapted to new requirements.
In 1997, the company moved to Vaihingen/Enz into a state-of-the-art premises. The generous space allowed the expansion of the laboratory, production, technical center and many new offices and recreation rooms for the employees.
In 2017, Werner Wolf finally handed over the helm and thus the company management to the next generation. Since then, the company has been jointly managed by his children Frank Wolf, who has been on the management board since 2004, and Dr. Katharina Conzelmann, who has been on the management board since 2013. Thus, the basis for a future-oriented, successful and further expansion was laid. The two managing directors are supported by committed and very well trained employees in all areas of the company.
Expansion of chemical products, plant engineering and technical services
In addition to the constant expansion of the production of chemical products, Dr. Hartmann Chemietechnik today produces over 11,500 water and solid analyses annually in its in-house laboratory. Furthermore, the company supports its customers in the area of process and plant optimization in order to save resources and to obtain the highest possible process reliability.
This forms the respective basis for an optimally coordinated water management including the matching, customer-specific plant technology and treatment programs. These include reverse osmosis, softening and special plants as well as filter and dosing systems. Consulting engineers and service technicians support customers with regular on-site water analyses and maintenance of the plant technology. With a team of chemists, biologists and process engineers at the company headquarters, customer-specific, future-oriented products are also developed. With additional sales locations in Austria and Switzerland, Dr. Hartmann Chemietechnik is one of the leading companies in the field of industrial water treatment and water purification.
A milestone for the future: The sustainable WaterCareSystem W|C|S®.
In recent years, technical progress in the field of process water and environmental management has led to a significant increase in the number of water treatment plants subject to stringent regulations. In order to comply with the regulations and to operate sustainably, perfect water management is required.
Dr. Hartmann Chemietechnik has recognized this problem and developed the WaterCareSystem W|C|S®, which is trend-setting in the industry. With this system, it is possible to monitor customers' water management online and in real time, to ensure precise dosing of the active ingredients, and thus to noticeably relieve the maintenance personnel on site. Through this innovative development, Dr. Hartmann actively supports sustainable and resource-saving water use from withdrawal to reintroduction, saving time.
The Training Academy
In order to keep customers and all interested specialists up to date on current topics and regulations, Dr. Hartmann Chemietechnik offers numerous technical training courses, the content of which is developed within the company and also supervised accordingly.
In this way, the extensive know-how is passed on to the training participants on many dates throughout the year, both online and on site. These include, for example, specialist training courses and webinars on the 42nd Federal Immission Control Ordinance or on VDI Guideline 2047 Sheet 2, which impart knowledge on ensuring the hygienic operation of evaporative cooling systems. So far, more than 5000 participants have been trained in various water topics.
